'CANCER PATIENTS WITH PRE-EXISTING SEVERE MENTAL DISORDERS' (CASEMED) 

A Danish nationwide research initiative with various research methodologies thoroughly investigating and optimising care for cancer patients with pre-existing Severe Mental Disorders (SMD) in trajectories with active neoplastic treatment and into END-OF-LIFE.

The research initiative is a collaboration between dedicated researchers in four Danish regions, covering both Primary and Secondary Health Care Sectors and both basic and specialised palliative care. 

Members of the research group are among the leading Danish researchers in oncology, psychiatry, palliative care, primary care and epidemiology.
